December Maize Training Days Prove Successful

The training days held in Somerset and on the North Wales boarder last month proved to be a great success for those able to attend. The 50 or so attendees heard presentations from John Williams of ADAS, talking about the 2 year 2 site DEFRA funded research focusing on sustainable cultivation methods for maize, John Morgan from the MGA reviewing the features of the new MGA recommended variety list and Simon Draper reviewing some of the key maize agronomy points raised during 2014.
Copies of the two John's presentations will be put on the web site (Agronomy and Environment Resouce subjects) Simons paper is too extensive to print. Those keen to learn more from Simon should try and get to the conference in February.
